It’s been about 27 years since the “Titanic” movie came out and 112 years since the actual ship sank, but people are still intrigued by the tragedy.
If you’re fascinated by the most famous ship in history, you’ll be happy to hear this…Titanic: An Immersive Voyage opens in April at Exhibition Hub Art Center Denver and will take passengers on a journey through the ship’s construction to its fatal end.
A website for the exhibit describes it as a “once-in-a-lifetime expedition to experience Titanic.” The installation features more than 300 artifacts, dramatic re-creations, 3D videos and animations and immersive galleries in which participants can walk through the Titanic’s halls, see the ship’s construction and “come face-to-face with the Iceberg.” A virtual reality option that tours the wreck site 2.5 miles beneath the sea is also included for guests over six years old.
There is currently a waitlist for those wanting to get the first tickets in Denver. They go on sale at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 3, and start at $25.
