Despite being really bad, Colorado Rockies still see high attendance

Jul 16, 2025, 5:14 PM | Updated: Jul 17, 2025, 12:23 pm

Some believe the only way the Colorado Rockies will ever be good again is if they get sold. One of the ways they might get sold is if no one goes to the games, but that is not happening!

It’s now the All-Star break of what will most likely be the worst season in the franchise’s history, and possibly one of, if not the worst, season in the history of Major League Baseball, and droves of fans are still going to Coors Field to watch the team lose.

The Rockies have a 22-74 record, but the club is in the top half of league-wide attendance at the break, sitting at number 14. The Rockies have sold an average of 30,128 tickets per game, almost 2,000 more than the Detroit Tigers, a team that has won 37 more games and sits atop the American League standings.

At least the views and vibes at Coors are great, because the baseball doesn’t seem to be a priority for most at this point.
