Megan Moroney’s Denver show has been rescheduled to Aug. 27 — Here’s everything you need to know

Jul 29, 2026, 3:58 PM

If you, like me, were at Ball Arena on Tuesday night (July 28) so bummed you didn’t get to sing “Tennessee Orange” at the top of your lungs. Megan Moroney made it through exactly three songs — “Stupid,” “Medicine” and “Bless Your Heart” — before an unspecified illness forced her to do something she’s never done in her career: walk off stage mid-show.

The good news is she’s coming back. Here’s everything Denver fans need to know about the rescheduled date.

THE NEW DATE: Wednesday, Aug. 27, at Ball Arena. Doors at 6 p.m., show at 7 p.m. No word on whether JP Saxe and Solon Holt will come back as opening acts after performing last night.

YOUR TICKETS: All tickets purchased for the original July 28 show will be honored for Aug. 27. If you can’t make the new date, refunds are available through your original point of purchase — whether that was Ticketmaster, AXS or elsewhere.

WHAT HAPPENED: Moroney posted to Instagram Stories shortly after leaving the stage Tuesday, and the message was as raw as it gets. “That was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make & I’m so sorry to cancel the show tonight,” she wrote. “I never ever will give you guys a show that is not 100%. By song 3 I knew that I was not capable of giving that to you guys tonight.” She added that she was “literally bawling” in her dressing room and said, “I’ve never had to do this & I’m truly so sorry.” Ball Arena confirmed via a statement on X that “Megan is unable to continue her performance this evening due to illness,” but neither the venue nor Moroney’s team elaborated on the specifics.

THE TOUR CONTINUES: Tuesday’s Denver show was part of Moroney’s Cloud 9 Tour, which kicked off May 29 in Columbus, Ohio, in support of her third studio album, “Cloud 9.” She has shows scheduled in Portland (Aug. 1), Seattle (Aug. 2) and Sacramento (Aug. 5) before the rescheduled Denver date.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON AUG. 27: When Moroney is healthy, the Cloud 9 Tour setlist runs about 23 songs. Denver got three of those on Tuesday. So when she comes back on Aug. 27, fans should expect the full show — and based on how gutted she seemed about canceling, probably then some. She did say before leaving the show last night that she would make it up to the crowd “ten times.” I guess we’ll see what that means in about a month!
