Trans-Siberian Orchestra just announced two Denver shows and Christmas season is coming whether you’re ready or not

Sep 9, 2026, 3:49 PM

We haven’t even made it to the Broncos’ home opener and Trans-Siberian Orchestra is already out here reminding you that Christmas is coming. The arena rock holiday juggernaut just announced its 2026 winter tour — “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” — and Denver is getting two shows at Ball Arena on Saturday, Nov. 21: a 3 p.m. matinee and a 7:30 p.m. evening performance.

If you’ve never been to a TSO show, it’s genuinely hard to describe. Imagine a full orchestra, a rock band, pyrotechnics, lasers, a narrative storyline and Christmas music played at a volume that would set off car alarms in the parking lot, all in an arena setting with production values that rival a stadium tour. It’s part concert, part rock opera, part holiday spectacle, and there’s a reason they’ve been selling out arenas for nearly three decades. “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” follows the story of a young girl who sneaks into an abandoned theater on Christmas Eve and encounters the ghosts of performers past, bringing the building — and the music — back to life. It’s bombastic, emotional and the kind of show that makes you genuinely excited about the holidays, even if you walked in as a Grinch. Fan club Legacy and Signature presales start Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. MT, with the general onsale following Friday, Sept. 18. These shows sell fast, the 3 p.m. matinee is already showing limited availability on resale sites,  so mark your calendars and don’t sleep on it.

Other Colorado Holiday Events Already Announced:

  • Christmas at Gaylord Rockies (Aurora) — Nov. 20–Jan. 3. ICE! featuring “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” snow tubing, gingerbread decorating. Early bird packages available through Sept. 13.
  • Denver Christmas Show — Nov. 6–8 at the National Western Center. Holiday shopping, décor, Santa’s North Pole Nook.
  • Blossoms of Light (Denver Botanic Gardens) — Nov. 20–Jan. 10.
  • Denver Christkindlmarket — Nov. 20–Dec. 23 at Tivoli Quad. Free.
  • Colorado Ballet’s Nutcracker — Nov. 28–Dec. 27 at Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
  • “A Christmas Carol” (DCPA) — Nov. 25–Dec. 27 at Wolf Theatre.
  • 9NEWS Parade of Lights — Dec. 5, downtown Denver. Free.
  • Zoo Lights — Select nights starting late November at Denver Zoo.

It’s September. The tree can wait. But the tickets can’t.
