A Look Back At Blake And Miranda’s Relationship Two Years After Their Divorce

On July 20th, 2015, the country music world was rocked and shocked by the announcement that Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton had divorced.

Here’s a look back at the timeline of their relationship….

2005 – June 8th – Miranda meets Blake, who is married, when they sing “You’re the Reason God Made Oklahoma” at the CMT 100 Greatest Duets concert. Both admit that sparks flew during the performance.

2006 – Blake divorces his wife Kaynette and begins dating Miranda.

2010 – Blake proposes to Miranda in the woods in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. They celebrate by drinking Diet Sprite laced with Bacardi.

2011 – May 14th – Miranda and Blake marry at the Don Strange Ranch in Boerne, Texas. Guests dine on venison the couple hunted.

2015 – July 6th – Blake files for divorce.

2015 – July 20th – Blake and Miranda announce their divorce: “This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy heart that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”

2015 – November 4th — On the night of the CMA Awards, a publicist for Gwen Stefani confirms that Gwen and Blake — both coaches on The Voice — are dating.

2015 – December – Miranda begins dating Anderson East — a singer-songwriter she met in Nashville in September.

2016 – March – Blake releases “Came Here to Forget,” his first single since the divorce.

2016 – May 20th – Blake releases If I’m Honest, his first album since the split.

2016 – July 18th – Miranda releases “Vice,” her first single since her marriage to Blake ended.
