Target offers $30 Thanksgiving meal for 6

Denver, we may have found something to be thankful for before anyone even passes the gravy.
Target has announced a $30 Thanksgiving meal designed to feed six people. That works out to $5 per person, which is a much easier number to swallow than whatever your family spends during an unsupervised trip through the store.
You know how it goes: You walk in for a turkey and leave with throw pillows, matching pajamas and a decorative wooden pumpkin.
According to Target, the meal lineup includes a Butterball turkey weighing up to 10 pounds, a 3-pound bag of russet potatoes and two take-and-bake baguettes, among other items. These are groceries for preparing dinner, not an invitation to show up with a fork.
So, yes, somebody still has to cook. And somebody else will supervise from the couch while explaining what the Broncos should do differently.
My advice, Colorado: Check your store’s prices and availability, assign someone else dessert and keep the shopping cart away from the home decor aisle.
A $30 Thanksgiving dinner sounds great. A $30 Thanksgiving dinner with $140 worth of candles is just a regular Target run.
