The Denver Summit, the National Women’s Soccer League team set to begin play next year, has acquired its first player, and she’s from Colorado!
Ally Watt, who was born in Colorado Springs, is a forward for the Orlando Pride. She will be loaned back to Orlando for the remainder of the 2025 season as part of the NWSL’s new intra-league loan program, before joining the Summit in 2026 for their inaugural season.
The new Denver Summit is sending Orlando $75,000 in expansion allocation money and $37,500 in transfer funds and salary cap relief in return for Watt.
Watt, 28, went to Pine Creek High School, where she was a four-year varsity track and field star and won multiple state titles. All the while on the pitch, she was twice named Most Valuable Player at the Colorado State Cup and played for Pride Soccer Club Predators 97.
She has one goal and one assist in 13 games this season.
