Colorado’s Spooky Stanley Hotel Now Hosting ‘The Shining’ Tours

Ask almost anyone from Colorado where the spookiest spot is in the state and they’ll tall you the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park. The notoriously haunted hotel inspired the Stephan King book turned movie, “The Shining,” and now the hotel is taking advantage of that notoriety.

According to the Stanley’s website the “Spirited Shining Tour” is one of the newest tours. Indoor/Outdoor walking tour through the west side of The Stanley Hotel Campus. A lot of Stephen King, a bit of History, and a whole lot of paranormal lure! This tour includes a visit to The Shining Suite, in our beautifully restored 1909 Caretaker’s Cottage. On this tour you will get the inside scoop on Colorado’s most famous dog, you can snap a photo of the re-created bathroom, and catch a glimpse of one of the Axes from the filming of The Shining.
