‘Night glow swimming’ at The Bay in Broomfield: Color-changing lights, waterslides and $9 tickets

Looking for a summer activity that doesn’t involve bribing your kids with screen time?
Broomfield’s Bay Aquatic Park has added something new for 2026: Family Night Glow Swimming sessions where the main pool and waterslides are lit up with color-changing lights, turning the whole park into a neon-soaked after-dark swim party.
For the first time ever, the Bay is offering evening sessions from 6 to 9:30 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday through Labor Day. The main pool, waterslides and all the usual amenities stay open — just under lights instead of sun. Tickets are $9 per person and must be purchased in advance through Broomfield’s recreation website.
The park also runs its regular daytime sessions from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2 to 5:30 p.m. daily.
The Bay Aquatic Park, located at 250 Spader Way — about 4.5 miles west of I-25 on 120th Avenue — has long been a low-key favorite for families with younger kids. The park features two body slides, a leisure pool with race slides, a zero-depth entry toddler pool with a playground, locker rooms, concessions and picnic areas. It reopened last summer after a renovation, and the night swim sessions are the marquee addition for this year’s season.
Tickets go on sale on a week-by-week basis at broomfield.org.
