Carrie Underwood Helping Girls Across America

May 10, 2017, 8:31 AM

Carrie Underwood’s Calia lifestyle brand and Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation are donating $200,000 to fully fund 100 girls’ sports teams across the country this month.

Carrie says, “Sports were a big part of my life growing up, so it’s important to me that girls across the country get those same opportunities.”

Last year, Carrie and Dick’s donated $100,000 to Carrie’s alma mater, Oklahoma’s Checotah School District, for its girls athletics’ programs and $100,000 to Aldine Independent School District’s girls’ athletic programs in Houston.
