Actor Robert Redford, who had strong Colorado ties, passes away at 89

The entertainment world and fans around the world are mourning the loss of Robert Redford who passed away at his Utah home Tuesday at 89 years old, but did you know he also had strong ties to Colorado?
The Oscar-winning director, best known for his roles in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and “The Natural,” attended CU Boulder for a year-and-a-half, and was a janitor at Boulder’s The Sink restaurant in 1955.
In the 1980s Redford started the Sundance Film Festival, which will move from Utah to Boulder in 2027.
