Colorado Festival of Horror moves to bigger Denver venue for 2026

If you’ve ever felt like you needed more elbow room while surrounded by creepy clowns and witches, good news — the Colorado Festival of Horror has you covered. The homegrown horror convention and film festival is back for its sixth year, and it’s officially outgrown its old digs. This year’s event runs Sept. 18-20 at the Denver Marriott Tech Center, a bigger venue to match the event’s growing fan base.

This year’s theme is “Clowns vs. Witches,” which honestly sounds like the world’s most unhinged game of dodgeball. Expect a full weekend of panels, workshops, a dealers room packed with artists and vendors, the Reel Horrors Film Festival short film competition, a Gore Galore costume contest, tattoo competition, karaoke, trivia and plenty of after-hours events. Single-day tickets start at $35, three-day weekend passes are $75, and kids under 10 get in free — because apparently, we’re starting them young.
