Even though many people around the country still refer to Denver as a “cowtown,” there really aren’t a lot of options when it comes to country bars. We are about to get a new one though!
A Western lifestyle brand is opening its first bar and dance hall in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood, taking over the space vacated by Mile High Spirits earlier this year.
Broken Bow Western Bar & Dance Hall is targeting a soft opening April 3 at 2201 Lawrence St., timed to coincide with the Colorado Rockies’ home opener.
The venue will feature live country music, a dance floor, a restaurant and the brand’s first brick-and-mortar retail store.
Broken Bow launched in 2023 as an online apparel company selling Western-themed clothing described as rooted in faith and traditional values. The brand has built a following of more than 1 million on social media.
Mile High Spirits operated at the Five Points location for 14 years before moving out in January. The distillery opened in 2011 and became known for its Fireside Bourbon, Cuidado Tequila and other craft spirits, as well as tours and cocktail classes.
The building sits in the Ballpark neighborhood near Coors Field.
