The Academy of Country Music Awards celebrates the best and brightest artists in the genre! | Music City Minute
Over the weekend, Las Vegas played host to one of the biggest events in country music - the 61st annual ACM Awards! Our favorite country stars graced the red carpet and stage, putting on stellar performances throughout the evening. Fan favorite moments included (but are not limited to) Jordan Davis and Thomas Rhett‘s first major performance of Ain’t a Bad Life, Riley Green‘s sultry, Change My Mind, and Blake Shelton‘s unforgettable show close-out; a very appropriate and Las Vegas forward cover of The Gambler, in honor of legendary songwriter, Don Schlitz.
Miss Ella Langley proved to be hotter than a two- dollar-pistol as the biggest winner of the night - winning Artist/Songwriter of the Year, Music Event of the year with Riley Green, Single of the Year and Song of the Year for Choosing Texas, as well as named Female Artist of the Year. Meanwhile, Cody Johnson celebrated two major wins, Male Artist of the Year and the top prize, Entertainer of the Year. A huge congratulations to all of this year‘s ACM nominees and winners!
