Megan Moroney Struggles to Sing, Ends Denver Show Early | Music City Minute
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to attend countless live shows, and as you can imagine, witnessed a fair share of onstage mishaps. I am talking everything from artists falling, smashing their instruments, breaking up fights, full on front-man meltdowns, and in a few cases, sick stars fighting for their lives. That said, personal illness causing a concert to end early or be canceled is, in my experience, surprisingly uncommon.
Yet, sadly, Megan Moroney had one of those ultra-rare moments during her Denver show, July 28. After struggling through a couple of songs, the 28-year-old fought back tears as she told the crowd she could no longer continue. The Wish I Didn’t singer went on to apologize for the bad news, thanked fans for their support and promised to come back and give them the show they deserved. In fact, the makeup show is already on the books for August 27! Additionally, tickets from the original sold-out show will be honored on the new date.
