Max McNown shares his musical passions and greatest influences | Music City Minute

Max McNown has come a long way from growing up in Bend, Oregon, busking on the San Clemente pier in California, then landing in Nashville, where he writes and records hit songs. The 24-year-old recently opened up about some of the most influential artists who make up his catalog of favorites, which includes Zach Bryan, Noah Kahan, Tyler Childers, and perhaps most interestingly a Boulder based indie singer, songwriter.

“Gregory Alan Isakov is one of my favorite artists of all time. I would love to pick his brain on how he writes his music - because the way that he writes, the way that he creates the world with his songs that you’re going to be living in as you listen to him, is something that I could really learn from,” said McNown. I personally love that quote because we can really hear the admiration and awe, dripping from every word in that statement. I really feel like the next time the "Better Me For You" singer plays the Denver area, KYGO could work a few local contacts to make that life-changing meeting happen!
