Retail stores closing is no big surprise these days, but when its Walmart, it’s pretty shocking, and soon Denver will be one Walmart down.
The Walmart Neighborhood Market location in Aurora at 10400 E. Colfax Ave., near Havana Street, will close the store to the public on Friday, June 7.
In a news release, Walmart explained that the reason for the closure was the store’s inability to financially reach the performance the company had hoped for.
Walmart said all of the store’s 130 employees will be eligible to transfer to a nearby store.
