It’s been a tough handful of years in general for restaurants, but for whatever reason the folks in Northern Colorado really seem to be getting hit hard lately.
It was only a month ago that Greeley lost Fat Albert’s, a restaurant that had been a staple in the area for 42 years. Now that area is losing two more major players in the food scene.
The first is a Mexican restaurant that’s been in tiny LaSalle, Colorado, just a handful miles south of Greeley, for over 54 years. Farmers Inn announced that they will close their doors permanently after their last day on Nov. 2nd.
The other is in the heart of Greeley at the corner of 10th Street and 35th Avenue. Kenny’s Steak House will close their doors after nearly 30 years in town on Oct. 12th.
These closures come on the heels of a local favorite, JB’s Drive-In, and national chain, Red Lobster also closing recently.
