Tim McGraw out, Cross Canadian Ragweed in for upcoming Colorado bull riding event

Tim McGraw has pulled out of the upcoming Professional Bull Riders “Last Cowboy Standing” event in Fort Collins, Colorado, but fans of Red Dirt country music are pumped because reunited legends of that scene are taking his place.

If you didn’t know, Tim’s been battling some serious back issues and just had what looks like his sixth surgery in under a year. That’s three back surgeries, two new knees and about a million hours of physical therapy.

In a recent interview, he said he’s on the upswing, but some mornings it still takes him a minute to get going. So, unfortunately, he’s still not ready to take the stage.

In the meantime, Cross Canadian Ragweed is stepping in on July 21. The PBR says they’re “thrilled” with the replacement, but also sending Tim all the best.

Jon Pardi is performing at the other night of the event, and there are no changes there.

Tickets are still available here.
