Tim McGraw, bull riders head to Colorado Springs as PBR and Space Force team up for America 250 event

The Professional Bull Riders is already making a big mark in Colorado with their three-day event in Fort Collins for a second year in a row, and now they’re bringing another huge event to Colorado…

Four million pounds of dirt, 30 of the world’s top bull riders and a three-time Grammy Award-winning country star are coming to Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs.

PBR and the United States Space Force announced Monday that PBR Space Cowboys Presented by the U.S. Space Force will take over the Air Force Academy’s 46,692-seat football stadium on June 20, combining elite team bull riding with live concerts by Tim McGraw and multi-platinum country artist Chris Janson.

The event is billed as a first-of-its-kind America 250 celebration, marking the nation’s upcoming semiquincentennial. It is also the Space Force’s first foray into sports as a presenting partner.

Organizers will cover roughly 30,000 square feet of Falcon Stadium’s playing surface with approximately 4 million pounds of specialized dirt to create the bull-riding venue, along with full-scale lighting, sound and video infrastructure. The stadium’s capacity will be reduced to approximately 28,000 for the event.

The 30 competing bull riders will be divided into three teams of 10 through a draft, with each team representing a Space Force operational command. Riders will then face off against bucking bulls in 8-second matchups.

As with Air Force football games, the event will feature military flyovers and parachute landings. A large-scale drone show is also planned as a finale.

Fox Nation will broadcast the event as part of its Friday night package for the PBR Team Series.

The Colorado Springs event will be PBR’s third stop at a college stadium in 2026, following a recent event at Florida State University’s Doak Campbell Stadium and an upcoming Bulls and Beats event at Colorado State University’s Canvas Stadium on July 10-12. That Fort Collins event will feature Brad Paisley, Bailey Zimmerman and Miranda Lambert across three nights.

Gates open at 1 p.m. on June 20. Tickets go on sale at noon Thursday, starting at $31. Get yours here.
