There’s a Pumpkin Smashing Event Featuring Baseball Bats, Slingshots and More This Weekend

Nov 2, 2023, 4:50 PM

If you still have your Halloween pumpkins, here is a great way to get rid of them and have a little fun doing it this weekend in Colorado…

The Pumpkin Smash festival uses such techniques as mallets, baseball bats, launchers and slingshots to, you guessed it, smash pumpkins.

This year’s Smash is Saturday (Nov. 4th) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is free to attend at the Idaho Springs Sports & Events Complex. The event will also have food vendors, beer, booths, pumpkins and composting.

You do need to bring your own pumpkins, and you can save time and skip lines by filling out a waiver before you get there. Sign yours here.
