People spotted the bear by Highway and Lowell Boulevard and then in the Bierstadt Loop.
As the police monitored the situation, they told people in the area to bring their pets inside. Officers were also in touch with CO Parks and Wildlife.
From The Denver Post, according to Parks and Wildlife spokesperson Kara Van Hoose, a bear sighting isn’t out of the ordinary in Broomfield.
Van Hoose said, “As long as they can find food, they’re going to continue into metro areas.”
She also mentioned that bears can end up in areas live Auroa and Centennial.
Nobody was reportedly injured in the bear sighting and the Broomfield Police Department posted on “X” that the bear ended up leaving the Broomfield area.
It’s safe to say that if you live in areas where bears can or have been spotted, be careful on leaving trash or even pet food outside overnight.
