There’s a $10 prom dress sale in Denver this weekend – Giving all girls the ability to afford a dress

Mar 21, 2024, 4:39 PM | Updated: 8:39 pm

Prom is a BIG deal for a lot of young ladies. Sadly, many of those girls simply cannot afford a dress for the dance. Well, thank goodness for some good folks in Denver who’re doing something to help them out!

The Prom Dress Exchange began in the Metropolitan Denver area in 1999. The organization had a desire to see every girl who wanted to attend prom have access to a beautiful dress, regardless of their family’s income. Every year around prom season, an annual event happens where girls throughout Denver can come and shop an inventory of gently used and new formal dresses. If they find a dress they like, they can take it home for $10.

Tide Cleaners kindle cleans each dress before it arrives at the sale, so they are ready to be worn. Fitting rooms are also provided to make sure dresses fit correctly.

This year’s event will take place Saturday (Mar. 23) at 1500 East 128th Avenue Thornton, CO 80241 from 9am-3pm.

No donations will be accepted on the day of the event.
