Popular security checkpoint at Denver’s Airport closing Dec. 9th

Dec 6, 2024, 4:44 PM | Updated: Dec 7, 2024, 7:15 pm

It seems like Denver International Airport has been under construction for a decade now, and as things progress there’ll be a lot of positives, but here’s one thing DIA regulars won’t love…

A-Bridge security is set to be shut down permanently on Monday (Dec. 9)

This has been known as a ‘locals’ secret’ that can travelers skirt longer lines of larger security areas on crowded days.

The closure is part of a construction project that will convert Ansbacher Hall (the area between the main terminal and A-Bridge Security) to a post-security area upon the completion of an ongoing East Security Checkpoint project.

Once this shift is made, travelers who have passed through East or West security checkpoints will be able to access Ansbacher Hall and the A-Bridge in order to quickly access Concourse A without having to utilize the shuttle train. Arriving passengers will also be able to utilize this area to exit near West and East security checkpoints.

Screening equipment will remain at the gate in case it’s needed in a pinch, but Monday will likely be the end of our little local secret at DIA.
