Did you know that one of Toby Keith’s final concerts was in Colorado?

Today (Feb 5) marks one year since the passing of the legendary Toby Keith. I was trying to recall all the times I had seen him perform live, and it dawned on me that it wasn’t that long ago that I saw him in Colorado. Turns out that show would end up being one of the legends last.

Oct 16, 2021 Toby played Loveland, Colorado’s Budweiser Events Center (now Blue FCU Arena). The show was originally scheduled for June 20, 2020 before being moved to Sept. 18, 2020 and later June 4, 2021, but as the world continued to navigate COVID, it was rescheduled to the fall of 2021, were it finally happened. Colt Ford and Wyoming native Chancey Williams were also on the show that night.

It was just a handful of months later, in June of 2022 that Toby announced he’d been undergoing treatment for stomach cancer since the previous fall… Possibly just before, during, or just after that Colorado show.

Toby would perform only another dozen or so headlining shows to go with a handful of other appearances between that Loveland show and his untimely passing.

Here’s a fan video from that show…
