Music City Minute | February 30, 2024 – Kelsea Ballerini to host CMT Awards, Amy Grant health update

Miss Kelsea Ballerini announced that she will be hosting the 2024 CMT Music Awards – but this year, she will be flying solo. The “Yeah Boy” singer said “I couldn’t be more excited to be back for my fourth year with my CMT family to host this CMT Awards. Hosting an award show that celebrates the music that the fans love most has been an honor, and I know this year will be another unforgettable night.” Along with hosting duties, Miss Kelsea is also booked to perform. The CMT Music Awards will air live on CBS, Sunday, April 7th.

Miss Amy Grant is sharing a health update with friends and fans alike. Nearly two years ago, she was in a bicycle accident that caused a traumatic brain injury. Even though she is mostly recovered from the initial injury, she still has problems with balance and memory. She’s trying to take it all in stride saying “Ya know, sometimes I walk around like I’m drunk and you just have to laugh about all of it. Also, I can’t remember what I can’t remember!” Even with these underlying issues, Miss Amy is doing pretty darn well. She even launched a spring tour this month that will be making its way through Colorado Springs in May.
