Music City Minute | February 29, 2024 – Warren Zeiders goes number one, August 30 named Jimmy Buffet day in Florida

Feb 29, 2024, 2:34 PM

Warren Zeiders is celebrating a huge musical milestone – his single, Pretty Little Poison, has gone number one. Zeiders told Billboard Magazine, “I am so honored to have my first number one at country radio. I never thought I would have a song on country radio, much less it would be number one. I will never be able to thank the fans, my team and country radio enough for its success.”

Flocks of Parrot-Heads will be migrating south to celebrate one of Florida’s most famous adopted sons. According to the official Margaritaville social media page, August 30th, 2024 is Jimmy Buffett day in the state of Florida, as declared by Florida legislature. The date celebrates the life and music of Jimmy Buffett, who free spirited life and significant contributions to national and state culture are commended and celebrated. The house also approved a bill that allows the 340-mile-long Florida A1A highway to be renamed the Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway.
