Trying to find things for the kids to do all summer can be a challenge for parents, I know first hand. But there is a program in Colorado that the kids will love, and will be easy on your pocketbook at the same time.
Children can bowl two free games a day throughout the summer at more than a dozen bowling centers across the Denver metro area through the national Kids Bowl Free program.
Registration for the 2026 season is now open, with the program running through September at most locations.
Kids Bowl Free, which launched in 2007, partners with more than 1,300 bowling centers across the United States, Canada and U.S. military bases worldwide. The program has served more than 40 million families since its inception.
Children 15 and younger are eligible for two free games per day after a parent or guardian registers online at kidsbowlfree.com.
Participating locations in the Denver area include:
- Broomfield: Chipper’s Lanes
- Fort Collins: Chipper’s Lanes (College and Horsetooth locations)
- Greeley: Chipper’s Lanes
- Highlands Ranch: Main Event
- Thornton: Main Event
- Windsor: Main Event
Shoe rental is not included and costs extra, though some bowling centers offer unlimited shoe rental passes for the season.
Parents can also join the fun. For an additional fee, adults can sign up for the Family Pass, which includes two games per day for up to four adults.
Hours and availability vary by location. Families must register at the specific bowling center where they plan to bowl and redeem digital coupons through the program’s website or mobile app.
More information and registration is available at kidsbowlfree.com.
