Colorado will be making history as we will be one of the first states to build a stadium specifically for women’s professional sports when we finish our stadium for Denver’s first National Women’s Soccer League team.
The stadium is expected to be completed in 2028 and will be built at Santa Fe Yards off of I-25 and Broadway will feature 14,500 seats. This will be the Metro areas 5th professional sports stadium and first in almost 20 years (Dick’s Sporting Goods Park was built in 2007)
The stadium and entertainment district will also include Vanderbilt Park East in the design and making use of a site long under utilized.
This will be the NWSL’s 16th franchise and excitement has already been building for the new Denver team with people putting down deposits for season passes before a single player or coach has been hired.
