You’d think people got the memo that you can’t bring guns to the airport by now… But not so fast!
The Transportation Security Administration released its annual report of firearms found nationwide at airport screenings throughout the year, and Denver International Airport made the top ten on the list for some of the most firearms found.
Here are the airports with the most guns found at security in 2024:
Rank | Airport | Firearms found |
1 | Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport | 440 |
2 | Dallas Fort Worth International Airport | 390 |
3 | George Bush Intercontinental Airport | 272 |
4 | Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport | 247 |
5 | Nashville International Airport | 188 |
6 | Denver International Airport | 166 |
The scariest part is 92% of the guns were loaded!
