Jan 8, 2026, 4:16 PM | Updated: 4:51 pm

Places like the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science are great, but can be a financial strain for families. So, thank goodness for free days, like the one happening at the museum this weekend!

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science has 12 free days planned in 2026, and the next is this coming Sunday.

You don’t have to reserve your ticket for these free days. If you arrive on these days, you will have free access to the Wildlife Halls or the permanent exhibitions. Tickets must be reserved online to visit a temporary exhibition, the planetarium or Infinity Theater. The museum has an IMAX theater and a Planetarium. Shows at both cost extra.

The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Here are all of the free days (and nights) at Denver Museum of Nature and Science for 2026:

  • Sunday, January 11
  • Sunday, February 1
  • Monday, February 9
  • Friday evening, March 6 (Girls & Science, 4-9 p.m.)
