If you’ve thought it seems really early to be this hot in Denver, you aren’t far off. This week could be among record dates for heat in the Mile High City.
100-degree days in Denver aren’t extremely rare, 111 days with temps over 100-degrees having happened in the last 150 years, but to have one in mid-June is.
Right now, forecasters are saying there is a pretty good chance that Denver will hit 100 degrees on Friday, which would be the eighth earliest 100-degree day in the city’s history. Saturday also has a good chance to hit the 100-degree mark.
Could this be a sign that we’ll see another very hot summer? Maybe…last summer, Denver saw six 100-degree days, the third most in Denver’s history.
