Denver air quality among worst in the world

It’s smoky, it’s hazy and Denver’s air quality is suffering. In fact, Denver’s air quality is among the worst in the world. The only areas worse than the mile high city are cites in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Indonesia, Pakistan, India, Peru, Malaysia and Bahrain according to IQ Air.
In fact, looking at the list on IQ Air, Denver came in as the 10th-worst air quality in the world. The next US city to make the list is Salt Lake City at 26th for worst air quality in the world.
Looking at the 9News website, Air Quality Alerts have been issued across Colorado, including Douglas, Jefferson, Denver, western Arapahoe, western Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer and Weld counties until 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Wildfire smoke from the Northwest and Canada are largely to blame for the smoky and unsafe conditions in Colorado. Health officials are reminding people to limit their time outdoors.
