Just my luck… I recently traded in my favorite pickup truck for an electric car because I have a long commute and gas prices were killing me! Now, Colorado has some of the cheapest gas its seen in a long time.
Gas prices across the US have dropped below $3 a gallon for the first time in four years, and Colorado currently has the second-cheapest gas in the country, averaging about $2.41 a gallon, according to AAA.
Some is quite a bit cheaper than the average too. A QuikTrip at East Evans Avenue and South Monaco Street in Denver had gas for $1.69 a gallon on Monday (Dec. 8). GasBuddy reports show that’s the lowest price point in the state.
Compared with the rest of the country, GasBuddy estimates Denver drivers are saving $5 to $10 per fill-up. Only Oklahoma is saving more.
