Chase McDaniel visited 98.5 KYGO’s Performance Studio to perform “Die Trying,” “Lost Ones” and “Burned Down Heaven.”

McDaniel was raised in Greensburg, Kentucky, by grandparents who had a great love and appreciation for music, which laid the foundation for McDaniel’s pursuit.

His main motivator, though? To embark on what he calls a “mission of hope” for those who are struggling – he is no stranger to mental health struggles, having spent “most of [his] life with the dark side of [his] mind.”

McDaniel’s first album will be released in August.
