Taylor Swift is the biggest music star in the world, proving that again this week with the announcement of her upcoming album, “The Life Of A Showgirl,” and a Colorado university is taking advantage!
Colorado State University will again offer an eight-week Spanish language course called “Spanish for Swifties.”
CSU’s Assistant Professor for Spanish Specific Purposes and a self-confessed Swiftie, Alyssia Miller De Rutte, will teach the summer course that will take a unique approach of examining Swift’s cultural and musical impact, specifically in Spanish-speaking countries and comparing them to different Latin American artists, like Shakira and Bad Bunny.
Students will also dive into Taylor Swift’s songs from all her different eras, and students will also have to translate them in Spanish.
This will be the second year for the language course at Colorado State University, which will start in June and will also be offered online.
