Porta-potties steal the show at Jelly Roll concert in Colorado

Aug 3, 2026, 4:25 PM

Fans packed Weidner Field in Colorado Springs on Thursday night (July 30) for a Jelly Roll concert. What many of them got instead was an unobstructed view of a row of purple porta-potties.

The show brought the three-time Grammy winner to the 8,000-seat downtown stadium alongside Justin Moore and Ashley Cooke. But several concertgoers said they were caught off guard when they arrived at their seats and realized the portable restrooms had been parked squarely between them and the stage. One fan told KRDO that “purple porta-potties were right in front of us” and that they couldn’t even see the stage. Social media posts from attendees claimed as many as half the seats in certain sections were affected.

Nobody disputed that nature’s call needs answering at an outdoor summer show. But fans said their tickets gave no indication the seats would come with an obstructed view — of a kind usually reserved for stadium columns, not chemical commodes.

Weidner Field, home to the USL Championship’s Switchbacks FC, has hosted a growing slate of concerts in recent years, but this is the first time porta-potties seemed to cause an issue.
