49ers’ Dre Greenlaw fined for taunting Broncos during Sunday’s game

Things got heated a couple of times during the Broncos’ game against the 49ers game Sunday between the 49ers’ (and former Bronco) Dre Greenlaw and Broncos Head Coach Sean Payton, and that will now result in a fine for Greenlaw.

The first altercation was when Greenlaw taunted his former coach after he made a tackle near the sideline. After the game, while Coach Payton was running to the middle of the field to shake 49ers Coach Kyle Shanahan’s hand, Greenlaw, using some expletive language, demanded Payton get off his field.

Greenlaw has been fined $11,941 for taunting the bench during that first altercation.

Greenlaw expressed that his reaction stemmed from their relationship last season where they had almost no communication near the end of the season, and that he was told by his agent – and not the Broncos personally – of his being cut by the team.
