Colorado’s first luxury treehouse hotel has opened in the foothills west of Denver, offering guests the chance to sleep 25 feet up among the pines.
Juniper Lodge & Treehouses opened two of a planned eight treehouses in late 2025, marking the state’s first and only treehouse lodging.
The property sits on 10 acres of forest about 30 minutes from Denver along U.S. Highway 40.
The two units now available are the Mountaineer and the Miner’s Treehouse.
The Miner’s Treehouse features warm wood interiors, gold accents, a king bed beneath skylights, a chandelier and a copper soaking tub. Guests reach the treehouse by a short forest walk.
The Mountaineer includes a king bed, sky wall, dining nook and kitchenette.
Each treehouse includes a private bathroom and in-room coffee bar.
The property is adults-only. In addition to the treehouses, the lodge offers five guest rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Shared amenities include an outdoor hot tub, fire pit, open-air decks and s’mores kits.
The lodge has earned a 5-out-of-5 rating on Tripadvisor from 162 reviews.
