How many medals did Coloradans win during 2026’s Winter Olympics?

The 2026 Winter Olympic games in Milano Cortina are officially wrapped up.
Team USA finished the games strong, ranking second with 33 total medals, 12 of those being gold. Norway ending up winning the medal chase with 41 total medals and 18 gold.
Team USA sent a record 232 athletes to this year, and Colorado had the honor of sending the most athletes of any other state, sending over 30 athletes.
In total, those athletes ending up bringing nine medals, including:
- Mikaela Shiffrin, who won a gold medal in Women’s Slalom
- Alex Ferreira, who won gold in Men’s Freeski Halfpipe
- Elizabeth Lemley, who won gold in Women’s Moguls & Bronze in Women’s Dual Moguls
- Jaccob Slavin, who won gold with the US Men’s hockey team
- Ellie Kam, Danny O’Shea & Amber Glenn who won gold in Figure Skating
- Jake Canter, who won bronze in Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle
