If you are a frequent user of Lime or Bird’s scooters and e-bikes, it may be time to move to a new app as they will be leaving Denver in a few weeks and being replaced by Veo.
Denver’s City Council approved the new contract with Veo which will begin this Friday May 1st and be in place for 3 years.
Bird will be removing their vehicles by Friday and Lime will remove theirs by May 15.
Veo’s introduction into the market will also bring some perks for Denver residents including discounts.
There will also be safety measures such as Veo Voice that will send riders warnings when in certain zones such as 16th Street Mall and sensors that will detect sudden movement.
Veo was founded in 2017 and was the first bikeshare market at Purdue University. Its currently in over 50 markets including Los Angeles, New York City and Washington DC.
