In the midst of a wave of restaurant closures in the Denver-area, this one has a bit of a happy ending…

Señor Burritos has been at the corner of East First Avenue and Broadway in for 34 years. In less than two weeks, the restaurant will close its doors in Denver… But it’s just moving north.

For the first time since it opened in 1991 the spot famous for it’s green chili will have a new location in Westminster.

A few political factors played a part in the move, but also the new location will have a bigger kitchen, drive-thru opportunity, additional parking for customers, and it will be much closer to where all the restaurant’s family lives.

The Denver location will close Dec. 23 and their new location, at 7195 Federal Blvd., will open in January.
