Zach Top's perplexing pedigree just got more interesting | Music City Minute
Ever since Zach Top hit the music scene, there has been a lot of speculation about his relatives. For example, one popular rumor claims that his dad is Alan Jackson. Naturally, the Internet has offered several interesting theories on this topic (which Top has neither confirmed nor denied) but sadly, they are based on conjecture rather than facts. That being said, there is a familial tie that can be proven, well sort of. You see, Zach Top is from Washington state, and so is Tucker Wetmore.
The up-and-coming artists grew up within 200 miles of each other and are really close in age - only two years apart. Those facts are the foundation for the latest rumor that Top and Wetmore are kinfolk. The "3,2,1" singer recently acknowledged and addressed the gossip saying, "My dad was married to someone else, and they had two girls. One of them is sisters with his mom." Even though that explanation was as clear as mud, Wetmore added that he and the "Sounds Like the Radio" singer find humor in their tangled family tree and never miss an opportunity to greet each other with a hardy, "What up Cuz!"
