If you’re into politics, you may want to attend… If you’re trying to drive on I25 and see a ruckus, this may be why!
Vice President JD Vance will make a stop in Denver on Thursday (May 28), delivering remarks at a local business before heading south to Colorado Springs for the Air Force Academy’s commencement ceremony.
Vance is scheduled to speak at 12:30 p.m. at All Trucks and Trailer Parts, 1350 W. 62nd Parkway in Denver. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., according to an invitation posted by the Denver Republican Party and confirmed by the party’s chair. The event is open to those who RSVP in advance through the Office of the Vice President’s event page.
The Denver appearance is part of a full day in Colorado for Vance, who will have already addressed the Air Force Academy’s 68th graduation ceremony at Falcon Stadium earlier Thursday morning. More than 900 cadets will commission as officers in the U.S. Air Force and Space Force at that ceremony, which runs from 9 to 11 a.m. and concludes with the Air Force Thunderbirds’ signature flyover. Vance, a Marine Corps veteran who served on active duty from 2003 to 2007, was announced as the Academy’s commencement speaker earlier this month.
The visit marks a relatively rare appearance by a top national officeholder in Denver. Those interested in attending the Denver event can RSVP online; the Air Force Academy graduation is open to the public with a ticket, and a live stream will be available at usafa.edu/graduation.
