Timed entry reservations open for Rocky Mountain National Park

If you’re planning on visiting Rocky Mountain National Park this summer, you will need a timed entry reservation. Starting May 24, all RMNP visitors will be required to have a timed entry reservation to get into the park.
This summer’s timed-entry reservations will be split into five windows. The first round of reservations for window one are from May 24 through June 30, and is currently 0pen through the park’s online portal. Reservations can be booked by calling 877-444-6777, but can not be made in person at the park.
There are changes to this year’s timed reservation system:
- Timed entry permit reservations for most areas of the park will be in place through October 14.
- Timed entry + Bear Lake Road Road permits will continue through October 20.
- 40 percent of timed entry permits are released on Recreation.gov the night before a chosen arrival date. These timed entry permits will be available each day beginning at 7 p.m. MT.
RMNP is a the fifth-busiest national park, so book early.
