The Red Bull Soapbox Race is coming to Denver!

Apr 9, 2026, 10:05 AM

The wildest race on wheels is back in the Mile High City for the first time in 18 years!  On Saturday, June 13, the Red Bull Soapbox Race takes over Empower Field at Mile High and it’s free to attend. Around 40 to 45 teams will send homemade, non-motorized carts flying downhill through a course packed with jumps, turns and obstacles. Some cross the finish line. Some crash in spectacular fashion. Both are equally entertaining.

Each team of up to five members performs a skit before launching their cart, and finishers are judged on design, showmanship and speed.  The clock is ticking if you want in. Applications close Saturday, April 12, at 11:59 p.m. Head to redbull.com to apply before it’s too late.    Gates open at 11 a.m. Racing starts around 12:15 p.m. Bring your friends.  Leave your engine at home!
