The Northern Lights may be visible in Colorado this week

I always thought you had to go to places like Iceland to see the Northern Lights, but over the last few years, staying right here in Colorado was good enough to get a peek, and this week may offer up another chance in our state!
As of the last report the aurora borealis, should be visible in 24 states according to the NOAA on Tuesday and Wednesday (July 30 & 31).
Colorado was not one of the 24 states listed, but this has happened before, as recently as May, and then in dark, remote parts of the state we end up being able to see the lights.
For those in Colorado who really want to make sure they have a good shot of catching the Northern Lights, a drive into Wyoming or up into South Dakota will really help increase the chances of a good viewing experience.
