One of the most heartbreaking, yet captivating murder cases in recent memory happened five years ago in Colorado. In August of 2018, Chris Watts murdered his pregnant wife, Shanann, and their two young daughters at their Frederick, Colo., home. That home is on the market for the second time since the tragedy happened, and now you can get it for a discount.
The five-bedroom, four-bathroom house was listed in April for $775,000. That’s a 29.2% increase from when it last sold in November of 2022 for $600,000. However, the house was recently reduced to to 724,900, an over $50,000 discount.
Not only were the murders fascinating for those in Colorado, but a Netflix documentary about them piqued interest around the world resulting in people continuously driving by, stopping to take pictures, and even attempted break-ins by those obsessed with the crimes.
There’s no word on why the current family is selling after only a year-and-a-half in the home, but the listing does not mention the home’s eerie past. Instead saying things like, “Wow, this is a beautiful home,” and, “Don’t miss this one.”
The listing also includes photos of the entire property, including the bedrooms, where the killings are said to have taken place.
