With the United States celebrating its 250th birthday this year there are a lot of really neat events happening. One is the Freedom Plane Tour which is carrying some of the most important documents in American history. The tour will stop in eight cities, and Denver is one of them.
Items including the 1783 Treaty of Paris, the 1774 Articles of Association, a rare 1823 engraving of the Declaration of Independence, and a draft copy of the Constitution with handwritten notes are being flown around the country on a Boeing 737 nicknamed the “Freedom Plane.”
The Freedom Plane will make its fifth out of eight scheduled stops across America at the History Colorado Center, off of Broadway and 12th Avenue in Denver from May 28 through June 14, 2026.
