If you’re filling out your March Madness bracket and want to pick the Colorado State Rams but think it’s a bad idea because you’re only doing it since their the “home team,” you may want to do it anyway!

At the time of publishing this article, the Rams are the highest seed (12) favored by the Vegas oddsmakers to win their first round game, In fact, they are one of just two higher seeded teams predicted to win, along with North Carolina, who are an 11 seed.

CSU is a -1.5 favorite to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The first-round game is the American Athletic Conference’s regular season and tournament champion No. 5 Memphis against the Mountain West Conference Tournament winners in the Rams.

There’s no doubt that CSU is one of the hottest teams in college basketball, since their win at San Jose State on New Year’s Eve, the Rams have gone on an 18-3 run with a current 10-game winning streak.

The first-round game will be played on Friday at noon MNT time in Seattle, and the game will be broadcasted on TBS.
